HASBARA

Further to this idea of “occupation”... The world says we are “occupiers” and by my own assessment, this is true. So what conclusion are we to draw then about the bad treatment we receive from the world…about antisemitism, etc?

The world is simply a mirror reflecting back to us our own flawed image. To the extent that these flaws exist, distorting the image of how we should appear, this is the extent to which the world rejects us. The closer we come to the goyim, the more we conform to their likeness, the more Jew-hatred there is in the world. They know that the world depends on our being different, higher, more elevated than they and they resent it when we allow ourselves to be debased and thereby sink the whole of creation deeper into a morass of confusion and disrepair.

If so, then the solution does not lie in more and better hasbara---“explaining our position” to the world. The world is not short on ‘talk’. It is in desperate need of action---real and true actions---mitzvot. This is what will solve our problems and by extension, universal problems. The Jews must perform mitzvot.

Not just any mitzvot though, but mitzvot on a national scale. Mitzvot like conquering and settling Eretz Yisrael and ridding it of usurpers and demolishing all of the foreign “holy” places, as if a false religion can even possesss such a thing as a makom kadosh!

Mitzvot like the Sanhedrin, the Malchut and the Beit Hamikdash. It’s not a fairy tale people. It’s real and we will have no peace whatever until we get with Hashem’s program on national issues. And then we will return to days as it was in Shlomo Hamelech’s time. The world was at peace and all the world beat a path to his door. His time was a taste of Yomei HaMashiach---messianic times.

We’re looking for the real deal. Let’s set the ball rolling right now, today, with a different idea of hasbara. Start with your brother, your sister, your mother, your friends and begin a daily hasbara campaign to awaken Jews to the reality, the necessity, of performing and fulfilling our national mitzvot. Our security, our sanity, our destiny depend upon it.

This is part of preparing the way for Mashiach Tzidkeynu, may he be revealed before our eyes even today! AMEN!

  1. Amen v'amen. There is only one reservation that I have: why is it necessary to destroy the religious sites of other faiths? Mosques and churches are not avodah zara and if they promise not to proselytize, what is the purpose of destroying them? That would probably lead to the destruction of Jewish holy sites in the Golah. (All of this exludes al-Aksah of course. That has to go).

  2. Churches are most certainly places of avoda zara. They worship a dead human as the Creator and many are full of statuary. Islam may be monotheistic, but if their god is telling them to kill Jews and blow up people, it is not the same one as the God of Israel.

Part of the mitzva of yishuv haaretz is to "destroy" all the places where foreign gods were worshiped. Whether that means razing them to the ground or just removing the crescents and steeples from their roofs and then converting them to some profane use will have to be answered by a Torah leader.

Yeshayahu 27:9---"Therefore, with this shall Jacob's iniquity be atoned for, and this is all the fruit of removing his sin; by making all the altar stones like crushed chalkstones; asherim and sun-images shall not rise."

According to Rashi this is speaking of the future redemption. It's interesting that "asherim" were phallic symbols similar to church steeples and the Muslims use a "moon" image in stead of a sun image.

If we do what Hashem commands, He will take care of the consequences.
