I was just this morning reading Nava's account at Dreaming of Mashiach of some of the things Natan foresaw in his near-death-experience and I noticed in particular...
  • The beginning of Gog U'Magog began three days before the Rosh HaShana, September 11, 2015 or lunar calender 27 Elul 5775.
  • One of these days, there will be a security breach that will cause riots to erupt leading to severe civil unrest. This will burst into a war and will be all over the news internationally. Everyone will know and understand it
  • Israel will not yet be involved.
(See also Binyamin: "World War Three Broke Out")

So, we were already aware that Russia invaded Syria on 27 Elul 5775 and it looked like the beginning of WW3 (The Third War of Gog uMagog).

The massive terror attack in Paris was quite a big thing and might have blown up into something bigger, to the point where the whole world recognizes that WW3 has begun. But, what has happened today between Turkey and Russia may actually be this expected turning point...
Turkey Shoots Down Russian Jet Near Syrian BorderRussia's Defense Ministry says jet did not violate Turkish airspace; Syrian rebel forces claim one Russian pilot has died.
Turkish fighter jets shot down a Russian-made warplane near the Syrian border on Tuesday after repeatedly warning it over air space violations, Turkish officials said, but Moscow said it could prove the jet had not left Syrian air space.
...Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan was briefed by the head of the military, while Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu ordered consultations with NATO, the United Nations and related countries, their respective offices said.
Yes. Turkey is a NATO member. If it has a problem with Russia, the rest of NATO must come to their defense! And don't forget, Russia has yet to give its answer to the downing of its passenger airliner over Sinai.

(The Telegraph has apparently had similar thoughts albeit with different conclusions: "Don't panic: Turkey shooting down a Russian warplane won't start World War 3")

In another escalation of events in the Syrian theater, Russia has reportedly "sent ground forces into battle for the first time in Syria".

"...Rav Shternbuch received a closely guarded secret that came to him from Rabbi Yitzchak Chever zatza"l, who received it from Rabbi Chaim of Volozhyn zatza"l, who received it from the Gaon of Vilna himself, who revealed it shortly before his death: 'When you hear that the Russians have captured the city of Crimea, you should know that the times of the Messiah have started, that his steps are being heard. And when you hear that the Russians have reached the city of Constantinople (today’s Istanbul [Turkey]), you should put on your Shabbat clothes and don’t take them off, because it means that the Messiah is about to come any minute.'” (Source)

In regards to the post by Devash mentioning the secret of the Vilna Gaon and Russia reaching Turkey. I remember reading this (not sure which website) just a few short months ago. Everybody was all excited about the Crimea part but it was a given that the Turkey part was way off the charts, something which was unthinkable. I have to say I felt that way as well. Russia was not actively involved in Syria at that time and after all Turkey in a NATO member.
Things look a little different today, no?

  3. I cant agree more but according to Wikipedia Russia began its offensive in Syria only on Sept 30, which is more in line with my albeit imperfect memory as well. I remember it being well after Rosh Hashanah.

  4. Russia Deploys Warship Off Syrian Coast To "Destroy Any Threats To Russian Planes"
Despite demands from France's Hollande, America's Obama, and NATO's Stoltenberg that this situation not esclate, it appears Putin is not taking the shooting down of a fighter jet lying down. The seemingly cagey confirmation by NATO and Obama of Turkey's claims that Russia invaded its airspace has been rebuked by Russia which claims the Hmeimim airbase radar shows the attacking Turkish plane violating Syrian airspace. In response, Russia is moving a Cruiser 'Moskva' off the coast to strengthen air-defenses - just as French and US carriers are on their way....

The measured distance of the Su-24's alleged incursion into Turkish airspace is 2.39 miles from entrance to exit. http://www.freemaptools.com/measure-distance.htmAt a crusing speed of 300mph, the Su-24 would only be in Turkish territory for about 28 seconds.

There is no way the Turkish F-16 could have fired, and struck, the Su-24 while it was still in Turkish territory. Either the pilot fired before the Su-24 entered Turkish airspace, or else the F-16 struck the Russian plane after it had left Turkey.Something clearly does not add up.

    1. Personally, I think Turkey (under orders from the US) has just been waiting for such an 'ambiguous' opportunity. Obama wants (needs) a confrontation with Russia, but it wants Putin to appear to be the aggressor and that the US 'had no choice'.
