A Period of Grace

"...With an upraised hand (Harvey) and with an outstretched arm (Irma) and with poured out fury (Jose?)."

Clearly, HKB"H is waiting to see if real teshuvah is going to come out of the first two before letting loose with the third one.
After Irma, are we going to get clobbered by Hurricane Jose next?
While all eyes in South Florida are fixed on the coconuts and construction cranes being flung about by Hurricane Irma, her not-so-little brother Jose is capering about in the Atlantic north of Puerto Rico, doing some kind of weird spinning in a circle fandango that current forecasts say could leave the storm pointed right at South Florida at the end of the week.
Like Irma, Jose is a major storm, with 130 mile-per-hour winds. At the moment, it's about 1,000 miles east-southeast of Miami, and an entirely schizophrenic attitude about where it wants to go.
The National Hurricane Center, in its most recent advisory, forecasts the Category 4 Jose over the next five days going slightly northeast, looping back west, spinning south, then east again — "sort of like tying a knot," as one of the center's hurricane specialists said. (Though, when it all takes place at 130 mph, the more accurate simile might be, like a teenager with a hot car doing donuts in the parking lot.)
When all this back-and-forth ends on Friday, the center expects Jose to be sitting about 600 miles away, facing Miami. But where it goes from there, at least right now, is pretty much anybody's guess.
"And I shall take you out of the peoples, and I shall gather you from the lands in which you were scattered, with a strong hand and with an outstretched arm and with poured out fury."

  1. Extrapolating upon the recent events, the next upheaval seemingly might be NY. It might follow that Jose (Yosef) will clobber Brooklyn and NYC. Brooklyn is close to sea level, being further south. I could imagine flooding coming down Ocean Parkway. And also into the Wall Street area (the financial district).

    2. Chas ve'shalom, my elderly and ailing mother lives in Brooklyn. Some of us really are stuck in NY. There are also a lot of very good, Torah observant people here who have already seen much tsuris. Please please please don't be so quick to open the mouth of the satan and predict which of your fellow Jews will get slammed next. Ein Od Milevado. May He shower us with compassion and mercy and redeem us NOW.

  2. Interesting to see that the storm was the mean Hashem chose to make the gentiles oblige Yonah to finally do his work. It matches with the midrash that tells that in the messianic days the remaining goyim will put two soldiers aside each Jew to ensure that he doesn't moves his head from his learning. Because they will understand that their own plenty and safety depend on the way the chosen people accomplish G-od's will and especially learn Torah.
Only to say to Devash, our estimated sentinel and to all the readers Shana tova umevurekhet. And a big Iyshar koah!

  3. Hello again Devash
I had to correct a terrible confusion in my above comment.
Of course in after Mashiah comes (very soon hopefully ) the Jews won't need anybody to force them to learn Torah. It won't be any yetzer hara more and we'll do it naturally without the need of anybody to pressure us and enjoy each second! The real thing was " if the gentiles knew (now) that their plenty and safety depends directly on our practice of mitzvoth and especially our learning, they would put two soldiers to ensure etc..." A very big difference. .. How did I wrote such a mistake I was surely very tired (in fact in my car without AC in the heat of Jerusalem waiting for someone) but it was important to correct it as soon as possible.
    All the best.

  5. Dear Tomer Devorah, YES. The Creator, in His LAST MINUTE Graciousness, is giving the World time, a LITTLE BIT more time, to "get the message" and: 1. Believe in HIM. 2. HONOR and OBSERVE His Noahide Covenant and Laws. 3. HONOR His Land, Torah and People Covenants with His Chosen People Israel. Perhaps SOME will heed the Warning, heed the Message, and do this, whether Nations or Individuals. NO ONE will shortly be able to say, "We were not warned. The Creator is unjust". Then, very soon, TIME'S UP. Shana Tova, Aryeh Yosef Ben Meir, Hill of Priests, City of God/Jerusalem, ISRAEL

  6. Update on Jose:
Jose Expected to Regain Hurricane Status and Gun For Northeast Coast http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-09-15/jose-expected-regain-hurricane-status-and-gun-northeast-coast
"Get your generators ready NY, Jose might be heading up here to blow away your over valued hovels. Recent models indicate Jose is making a comeback near the Bahamas and is expected to regain 'Cane status today, then jog on towards the northeast in an attempt to destroy it." The map predicts Wednesday Sept. 20th (erev Rosh Hashanah) for the New York To Mass. area. If this continues along with the fires in California to Washington State. 7. North Korea's Nuclear Tests Could Trigger "Supervolcano" Eruption http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-09-16/north-koreas-nuclear-tests-could-trigger-supervolcano-eruption
"After North Korea’s latest nuclear test, scientists are worried that more underground explosions in the isolated country’s rocky north could set the stage for a deadly volcanic eruption not unlike the one that NASA fears could be brewing in the Yellowstone caldera."
